magnifique film. irréprochable et complet. reconstitution historique parfaite aussi. en général un film très beau et qui a aussi une très belle fin qui donne les larmes aux yeux. par ailleurs les scènes de combat n’ont pas du tout vieillies et les effets spéciaux restent géniaux pour un film sorti il y a près de 25 ans. un 10/10 !
Synopsis
After the death of Emperor Marcus Aurelius, his devious son takes power and demotes Maximus, one of Rome's most capable generals who Marcus preferred. Eventually, Maximus is forced to become a gladiator and battle to the death against other men for the amusement of paying audiences.
