Synopsis
In the late 1950s in Châteauroux, France, Rachel, a modest office worker, meets Philippe, a brilliant young man born to a bourgeois family. This brief but passionate connection results in the birth of a daughter, Chantal. Philippe refuses to marry outside of his social class and Rachel has to raise their daughter alone. Regardless, Chantal is a great source of happiness for Rachel. She wishes for Philippe to legally acknowledge his daughter, which would give her his last name. A battle of more than ten years ensues, which will eventually break up all of their lives.

Magnifiquement joué par Virginie Effira
Bon film mais dur et des scènes de sexe inutiles
Film assez touchant et qui m’a encore fait un peu plus détesté les hommes. Je l’ai trouvé assez spécial puisque on suit l’histoire de la mère avec le point de vu de la mère mais c’est pourtant tiré du livre que sa fille a écrit, mais pourtant la fille dans le film devient un peu « détestable » (ça reste néanmoins une victime d’inceste), mais je trouve ça d’autant plus beau car ça représente bien je pense les victimes de ces actes là, qui restent toute leur vie des personnes divisées et brisées qui essayent de se reconstruire. La fin est très belle et apaisante, Virginie Efira quel boulot par contre elle est trop forte et super belle, les années 60 lui vont tellement bien… Bref bon petit film
