Overall, another DC movie that exceeded my expectations, however it does not compare in terms of other alternative DC films. I believe this movie left more to be desired into the psyche of Joker, as the original story appeared rather rushed into his psychosis and eventual push as the Joker. I was expecting Joker to be the main focus, but instead it was multiple storylines between Joker, Batman, and Batgirl, that all intertwine together eventually. Some of the writing at the beginning also seemed forced into taking advantage of the rated R leniency. I understand their is much more to the lore that can be found in other movies, but this one did not include much of that. Considering this was a shorter film (only 76 minutes), one if the positives was that it showed a glimpse into what makes Batman and Joker so in common and infatuated with each other enough to keep going.

Synopsis

As Batman hunts for the escaped Joker, the Clown Prince of Crime attacks the Gordon family to prove a diabolical point mirroring his own fall into madness.
