Film qui retrace la vie d’un homme de couleur noir au cours des années 1600 durant la période de l’esclavage. On a appris et tous lu a l’école dès notre plus jeune âge de ce qu’a été l’esclavage, des cicatrices qu’il a laissé dans l’histoire et je trouve qu’à mon sens c’est un film qui retrace bien ce sujet. Ce film est impactant et émouvant. Il est très intéressant ! Et on y retrouve des très bon acteurs. Le message de ce film à su être transmis. Je vous le recommande. Pour les plus jeunes certaines scènes peuvent heurter la sensibilité.
Synopsis
In the pre-Civil War United States, Solomon Northup, a free black man from upstate New York, is abducted and sold into slavery. Facing cruelty as well as unexpected kindnesses Solomon struggles not only to stay alive, but to retain his dignity. In the twelfth year of his unforgettable odyssey, Solomon’s chance meeting with a Canadian abolitionist will forever alter his life.
