The woman in the window is a psychological thriller where she is a staying home lady that lives with her cat and is afraid of going outside of her house. She gets most of her gossip of what's going on outside of her house by staring through her front windows. She has a roommate named David that lives on the downstairs. When she notices the new neighbors across the street she starts realizing that she has not only met them by each one of them coming to her house unannounced at different times she also believe she sees a murder. Knowing that she does have a problem with medications and alcohol is what she sees real or is she just fighting another set of demons that she is not ready to cope with.

Spect.Les avis sur ce thriller psychologique sont partagés, oscillant entre admiration pour la performance d'Amy Adams et déception face à une fin jugée précipitée. Le film captive avec son ambiance oppressante et son intrigue qui tient en haleine, malgré des comparaisons avec des œuvres antérieures et un sentiment de déjà-vu. Certains trouvent le rythme lent tandis que d'autres apprécient les rebondissements et la complexité psychologique du personnage principal.

Très bon film. Le suspens et le plot twist me font penser aux œuvres de Freida McFadden (je vise particulièrement La Femme de Ménage)
Anna, une psychiatre pour enfants, souffre d'agoraphobie à la suite d'un traumatisme. Elle reste cloitrée entre les quatre murs de sa maison de New York sans avoir la force d'en sortir.
