A rough-and-tumble trucker helps rescue his friend's fiancée from an ancient sorcerer in a supernatural battle beneath Chinatown.
Vu avec Mehdi, Romane, Eline, Quentin et Lauryne.
Jack Burton accompagne son ami Wang Chi à l'aéroport de San Francisco afin d'accueillir Miao Yin, la fiancée de ce dernier. Mais Miao Yin est convoitée par Lo Pan, un puissant sorcier désincarné qui pense pouvoir récupérer son enveloppe charnelle en épousant une Chinoise aux yeux verts. Film de 1986
🎬 John Carpenter s'accorde une parenthèse fantaisiste et signe une sorte d'anti-Indiana Jones efficace et rythmé avec beaucoup d'humour. Kurt russell est tout simplement parfait dans ce role de faux héros macho mais drôle, des femmes sexy, de la baston, des super-méchants, on mélange tout ça et on arrive à un cocktail détonnant et divertissant. Un film renversant qui n'aura eu que peu de succès en salles, et a été un peu oublié depuis. 🎬 🎬 🎬
Kitch à souhait mais bourré d'action et d'humour, un film très 80 !
Euh oui, oui, des chinois qui apparaissent dans le ciel, Kurt Russel qui cabotine dans son camion, un monstre maquereaux. Un Carpenter très original qui a le mérite de faire un grand film hollywoodien totalement atypique... mais quel bordel.
