Összeségében nem egy nagy film, de szórakoztató és poénos.
Potentiel gâché de fou, l’ambiance au début est folle mais après qu’ils fassent les travaux dans le manoir elle se dissipe complètement. L’histoire c’est du vu et revu, on devine tout à l’avance, j’ai l’impression d’avoir vu cette intrigue dans 30 autres films (Barnabath qui nous fait Jacquouille la Fripouille découvrant la chariote du diable au début, déjà…). Les personnages sont creux et pas attachants, à commencer par le personnage principal, il y a juste la méchante, interprétée par Eva Green, qui se démarque, et à la rigueur le personnage du médecin, incarnée par Helena Bohnam Carter (qu’on ne voit pas assez malheureusement). Le personnage de l’adolescente rebelle un peu clichée, Carolyn, aurait pu être intéressant mais elle est sous développée. Les autres sont transparents. Après, ça reste divertissant et parfois drôle, j’ai souri à plusieurs reprises. Mais j’irai pas le regarder une deuxième fois.

Un film avec la signature de Tim Burton vraiment évidente, toujours avec le plaisir de retrouver les acteurs qui lui sont associés. Moi qui ai l’habitude de m’ennuyer quand je regarde un film, j’ai adoré celui ci. En effet, l’histoire d’amour et le suspense jusqu’à la fin du film sont incroyablement bien emmenés. Entre le comique de la situation présentée, l’absurdité de l’antagoniste et de sa raison d’agir, opposé à la froideur des couleurs et de l’obscurité du protagoniste, le travail de contraste marche bien et est bien équilibré.
