Le portrait d’une femme rebelle qui ne s’épanouit que dans les espaces sans limites du Yokshire et trouve son inspiration en écoutant les bruissements de la nature. Une âme passionnée qui séduit et effraie le jeune pasteur trop pusillanime oser vivre pleinement cet amour. L’amour ambigu d’un frère dont la jalousie ruinera deux vies.
