Ce huitième volet se révèle décevant, malgré une belle entrée en matière sur un course à Cuba et une intrigue qui promettait d'être assez originale, on rebascule dans certains travers de la franchise depuis le cinquième film, à savoir la prépondérance de longues scènes d'action et une histoire qui se résume à arrêter un grand méchant dans différents lieux de la planète. Les scènes sont moins spectaculaires que dans le 7, l'équipe de l'antagoniste quasiment pas développée, et le final très classique. Un Fast très moyen
