🎬 Richard Thorpe réaliseun film épique et flamboyant sur la légende Arthurienne, combats et tournois chevaleresques, félonie et droiture, couleurs chatoyantes, décors clinquants. Avec un Robert Taylor très à l'aise dans le genre, Ava Gardner toujours tirée à quatre épingles quelque soient les situations. Le film propose une version de l'histoire entre Lancelot et Guenièvre très intéressante, une variation sur la fameuse légende du roi Arthur. Les péripéties ne manquent pas dans cette histoire passionnée, on se régale des affrontements entre Lancelot et Mordred. Un chef-d’œuvre à l'ancienne. 🎬 🎬 🎬
