A Senatorial candidate falls for a hotel maid, thinking she is a socialite, when he sees her trying on a wealthy woman's dress.
Revu avec Alice. L’un des films de mon enfance que j’ai découvert avec ma famille - je l’associe surtout à Maman, d’ailleurs. C’était assez fun. On ressent bien l’esthétique des comédies romantiques du début des années 2000, avec le montage, la réal et le jeu qui les caractérisent. On joue, évidemment, sur tous les clichés du genre mais ça marche plutôt bien. J’ai ri par moments, été moins convaincue par certaines situations très peu crédibles et été incroyablement angoissée par l’énorme quiproquo. Je me rappelle que, plus jeune, je ressentais le même stress à l’idée de la voir s’obstiner dans son mensonge. Je suis pas fan de Ralph Fiennes en lead romantique masculin. Casse pas trois pattes à un canard, pas l’amour fictif le plus absolu, mais se regarde et évoque une nostalgie dont j’aime me rappeler. De temps en temps.
Ça se laisse bien regarder même si cliché et improbable

Sur Prime Vidéo. Vu avec Mama. Un film feelgood et romantique que je revois avec Mama , sympathique moment !
