Et quand j’commence à l’agiter il peut faire un sacré massacre ! On danse ?"
Charlie partage sa vie avec sa deuxième personnalité, Hank. Sous traitement, il doit escorter Irene Waters dans un autre état dans lequel elle est recherchée pour un délit routier. Charlie doit donc gérer avec Hank qui peut pointer le bout de son nez à tout moment. Comme souvent dans un film avec Jim Carrey, c'est lui qui le tient à bout de bras. Et force est de constater qu'il excelle une fois de plus. Les parties notamment où il passe de Charlie à Hank sont prodigieuses et accompagnées de passages jouissifs à la batterie. Pour le reste, j'ai trouvé ce film plutôt long; je pense que resserré, le rythme aurait été bien plus enlevé et la comédie encore plus folle. Sinon énormément "d'absurderies" comme l'adultère juste après le mariage, les enfants noirs dont le père est censé pourtant être blanc, la chirurgie du menton, bref... beaucoup de très bons passages.
