🎬 John Carpenter utilise le decor dévasté par un incendie, de la ville de St Louis, dans un superbe cinemascope. Il bénéficie d’une atmosphère chaotique et crépusculaire incomparable. Derrière l’incontournable Snake Plissken incarné par Kurt Russell, on retrouve quelques monuments comme Lee van Cleef en chef de la police sans scrupules, Ernest Borgnine, Harry Dean Stanton, Isaac Hayes en sadique Duc de New York et puis quelques figures récurrentes chez John Carpenter, tels que Tom Atkins, Donald Pleasence.
