Sorry to Bother You

Holy shit, I did not expect this movie to be this weird but it was still really good. Some parts kind of fell flat, like Detroit’s art exhibition thing, but it was a good movie that took a very unexpected and weird turn towards the end In terms of cinematography, this movie was very unique and had a lot of stylistic choices that were cool. When Cassius was upgrading all of his stuff in his old house, I liked how they ripped apart and split in half practically to show he was upgrading his stuff. I also really like when he’s on a call and he actually teleports to the people he’s calling. It’s not necessary for this movie, but I feel like since they added that it makes it more unique and more special and also adds an aspect of humor to what would otherwise be a very boring exchange through phone calls. The story was consistent and good up to the point when they started talking about horse people which confused me and surprised me in a bad way. I don’t know if I am lost in the metaphor or if I don’t get what they’re trying to say but it just looks so silly and I don’t get it. Overall, 7.6/10

Une très jolie découverte. Absurde comme Spike Jonze, créatif comme Gondry, engagé comme Spike Lee et Ken Loach. Un petit frère de Get out (mais en mieux) qui aurait très bien pu être un épisode de Black Mirror

Film critique du capitalisme, un peu simplet dans sa critique mais avec des bonnes idées visuel (chaque appel donne lieux à une scène où le bureau de casius se jeté dans le lieu de l’appelé) Fini en n’importe quoi avec des homme cheveaux.
