The story of the famous and influential 1960s rock band The Doors and its lead singer and composer, Jim Morrison, from his days as a UCLA film student in Los Angeles, to his untimely death in Paris, France at age 27 in 1971.

En 1965, Jim Morrison, John Densmore, Ray Manzarek et Robby Krieger forment le groupe The Doors, aux références littéraires très marquées, le nom étant inspiré du titre d'une nouvelle d'Aldous Huxley. Leur chef de file et chanteur, Jim Morrison, veut aller voir ce qui se passe derrière les portes de la réalité. Drogue, alcool et sexe sont supposés conduire ces expériences visionnaires. Dans un état second, les musiciens mélangent musique et hallucinations pour le plus grand bonheur des spectateurs. Le succès du groupe est rapide. Les Doors deviennent les porte-drapeaux de toute une génération en proie au doute et révoltée contre le système...
Vu en VO sur Canal entre le 20/02/2025 et le 21/02/2025 avant disparition imminente de la plateforme. Film que je voulais voir depuis longtemps ! Une sacrée performance d’acteur pour Val Kilmer. Et évidemment je ne peux qu’aimer la BO ;-)
