Pur chef-d'œuvre. Impossible de ne pas rester scotché à l'écran tout au long de la scène finale
Certes la valorisation du fait de pousser plus loin et les efforts mis en œuvre peuvent être appréciés. Néanmoins les techniques d'humiliation et d'harcèlement moral utilisées par le prof m'as poussée dans un malaise profond pendant tout le film. Surtout qu'il n'y a pas de remise en question de ces méthodes douteuses et illustres plutôt voire encourage cette relation toxique prof-élève. Morale décevante ..... Néanmoins scène de fin extraordinaire

Amazing color work and drama
Damien Chazelle 2014 Miles Teller = Andrew Neiman J. K. Simmons = Terence Fletcher Andrew est un batteur dans une des meilleurs école de musique des États-Unis. Il est repéré par Fletcher, un chef d'orchestre très exigeant qui va pousser à bout Andrew lors des répétitions et celui-ci va toujours repousser ses limites pour garder son poste de titulaire. Andrew se trouve une copine mais après quelques mois, il décide d'arrêter la relation car il souhaite travailler plus. Mais un jours, étant en retard à un concours, il roule plus vite et téléphone au volant ce qui lui vaut un accident ; malgré tout il se présente à l'orchestre mais ne réussit pas à terminer son morceau et est donc renvoyer. Andrew arrête la batterie et porte plainte anonyme contre Fletcher pour harcèlement (un de ses anciens élèves s'était suicidé à cause de ça). Mais Fletcher et Andrew se revoient et ce premier propose à ce dernier de venir jouer pour un concours prochain. Andrew s'y présente mais le 1er morceau n'était pas prévu ce qui lui vaut une humiliation. Il retourne sur scène malgré tout et et fais une des meilleurs performance.
