I have a secret to tell — I’ve actually never watched Hospital Playlist. Everyone says it’s really good, but for some reason, it just never clicked with me. I promise I’ll watch it eventually. But for now, here’s my review of its spin-off, Resident Playlist. First of all, I really like Yoon-jung. Her visuals are insane, but more than that, she can act. She’s not just pretty — she actually delivers a great performance, and I love that about her. Now on to the main part. Story-wise? I loved it. Every episode brings something new. It really shows what the life of a resident is like, and it made me feel things I didn’t expect. I especially loved how it told the stories of each R-1 OB-GYN. It’s touching and beautifully written. As for the acting, I’d say it was good. It’s not super heavy drama, so I don’t think the roles were too demanding emotionally, but the cast still did a great job. It felt natural and believable. Cinematography-wise, medical K-dramas never disappoint. Everything looked so real, especially the surgeries and hospital scenes. It actually made me pause and go, “Are they really doing that?” It looked so authentic. About the love story between Dr. Oh and Dr. Ku… I don’t know. It was okay. I didn’t really feel it, maybe because it wasn’t the main focus of the series, so it didn’t stand out as much. But it was still sweet in its own way. Overall, I liked it. But if I had to compare it to Dr. Romantic, I’d still say I prefer that series — especially both seasons. I just really loved everything about it. Still, I’d recommend Resident Playlist, especially for those looking for a little motivation. It genuinely inspired me, even though I’m not a medical student.

11 avisThe premise is good, but the love line eventually ruined everything plot wise. It wasn’t needed.
