I really love talking about movies and series I’ve watched, but with this one, I just can’t find the right words to describe it. It was so beautifully made. I became a fan of Zhuyi’s works when I first watched Hidden Love. I honestly thought nothing could top it—it had everything I’d been looking for in a series. Then came The First Frost. I only watched it months after its release because the teaser didn’t really catch my interest. I assumed it wouldn't be like Hidden Love or WIFTY. But I was wrong—it didn’t just match them, it surpassed them. From the cinematography and acting to the story itself, everything was just amazing. Every scene with Sangyan and Yifan was something to look forward to. It felt like I was living their story with them. Sangyan is just so fictional—he’s a great example of a character that makes you realize he's too perfect to be real. I love this series so much. It deepened my love for C-dramas. It was just so beautifully made. I have so many favorite scenes. First, when Sangyan built apractice space for Yifan in a rooftop. Just imagine—a high school boy searching for and carrying cracked mirrors, all to support the girl he loves. Second, when Yifan pretended to sleepwalk just to hug Sangyan—my girl needed and deserved that hug. Third, when they finally got together—because in that moment, Yifan chose herself. She chose to be happy, and she knew her happiness was with Sangyan. Fourth, when Yifan got drunk—huhu, she was the cutest. It broke my heart seeing how much she had to go through. Fifth, every time they touched—hugs, kisses—all of it proved how much Yifan trusted Sangyan, especially knowing how much she hated being touched by others. And lastly, all the deep conversations they shared. Especially when Yifan opened up to Sangyan—sharing things she never told anyone else. She trusted him that much. And I’ll never forget when Sangyan said, “You disappearing without a word was what really destroyed my world.” Because we all knew—ever since he met Yifan, she became his whole world. That moment reminded me of How Do I Live—because for Sangyan, if it’s not Yifan, then it’s no one. I’m so grateful this story exists. It made me realize so many things about life. I’ve learned so much from it. I can finally say—I’ve found the best C-drama I’ve ever watched. I don’t know how I’ll ever move on from them—or if I even can. But for now, I don’t have any plans to. Thank you, Yifan and Sangyan, for letting us be part of your beautiful story. I would give anything just to watch it for the first time again.

Reviews and Comments
