I thought it was just fine. In classic “the boys” fashion, everything is super grotesque. Now, I don’t remember season one that much, but I feel like this season, focused more on the characters and less on the spectacle of superhero fights. One thing I noticed was how they referenced the guy that played Andre in season one. It sucks that the actor died and in some aspects I really liked how Gen V tackled the story reason why Andre is missing. But on other cases, it felt very shoehorned in and kind of felt like a meta way to pay tribute to the actor. It’s really sweet but in terms of the show it interrupted the pacing a bit. It feels like a lot happened in this season while nothing happened in the season. Crazy that Godolkin was revived and is now Ethan Slater, so many new characters were introduced, but at the same time it feels like this show is not needed to understand The Boys story. I like the ending where now the rebel kids are with the rebel cast in The Boys, but this season didn’t really wrap anything up, but probably made more questions. Idk I wasn’t bored but this isn’t anything ground breaking. 7/10
Est-ce que je regarde la série uniquement pour mon couple préféré Jordan et Mary ? Evidemment ! Mais en soit le fond est passable, ça ne rattrapera ceci dit jamais « The Boys », quand bien même ça serait la suite version génération future.
