Japon, 1600. Le Japon est dirigé par un conseil de régents jusqu’à la majorité de l’héritier. Un barbare s’échoue alors sur les plages japonaises et va être l’outil de pouvoir de Toranaga, seigneur de guerre contre qui le conseil de ligue. La série respire la thune, ce qui permet des décors et des costumes absolument sublimes. L'histoire est inspirée d'un livre du même nom qui est une reinterpretation historique de la période centrée autour des 3 unificateurs dont un inspirera Toranaga et un autre le précédent Shogun. A base de conflits politiques parfois difficiles à comprendre et de trahisons, la série offre une belle représentation du Japon médiéval qui fait frémir les fans du Japon.
Synopsis
In Japan in the year 1600, at the dawn of a century-defining civil war, Lord Yoshii Toranaga is fighting for his life as his enemies on the Council of Regents unite against him, when a mysterious European ship is found marooned in a nearby fishing village.
