Plus connu sous le titre "Malice" le film de Harold Becker nous propose un casting relevé pour une intrigue recherchée et agrémentée de quelques rebondissements qui donnent un véritable plus à ce thriller des années 90. Très classique et propre aux films de cette époque la réalisation donne le ton progressivement jusqu'au dénouement honorable. Mais la part belle de cette production, ce sont bien les acteurs qui produisent une composition solide en jouant sur leur personnalité et leurs agissements. Un bon petit thriller gentiment sulfureux comme on n'en voit que trop peu de nos jours.
