🎬 Terence Young, surtout connu pour avoir été l'un des premiers réalisateurs de la saga James Bond, se lance dans le western avec un projet qui ne manque pas d'originalité, doté d'un scénario inhabituel qui mêle aux habituels cow-boys et indiens un samouraï japonnais. Charles Bronson, Toshiro Mifune, et la sensuelle Ursulla Andress sont tous excellents. Alain Delon interprète le méchant de façon magnifique, méchant élégant mais froid, et sans pitié. La musique est signé par le Français Maurice Jarre.
