Bon thriller
Long même si nécessaire. Fun fact : robert zemeckis a tourné ce film pour faire une pause afin de laisser le temps à Tom Hanks de maigrir pour seul au monde. Spoil Après une longue lutte contre ses orteils dans la baignoire à la Béatrice (kill bill), Claire s'échappe en voiture. Norman l'attaque et le véhicule plonge dans le lac, pour atterrir là où Madison est morte. Le fantôme attrape le méchant Norman et Claire survit. Surnaturel. Norman spencer a tué son ex maîtresse parce qu'elle menaçait de se suicider ou de tuer sa femme. Dans un premier temps il avoue à sa femme qu'il a retrouvé sa jeune amante dans leur maison pleine de Médoc et qu'il a du la faire disparaitre dans le lac avec sa voiture pour ne pas la perdre elle et son bouleau. Finalement, il l'a tuée et cachée dans le lac. Si les effets de caméra rappellent Hitchcock et nous donne l'impression de voler en prenant le partie de claire spencer, le scénario fait des pirouettes à nous en faire voir de toutes les couleurs. D'abord c'est la femme du voisin tué par ses propres soins, puis c'est son fantôme, non attendez, celui d'une femme qu'elle connait. Ah bah oui, tenez, c'est celui de la maîtresse de son mari. Mais alors tout ça pendant qu'elle retrouve la mémoire grâce à un "vrai" fantôme. Et Michelle n'est en réalité pas une passive agressive comme le porte à croire Norman. Bref, un peu long dans la durée donc, pour ne pas trop accrocher au scénario. Heureusement que c'est bien filmé.
Je trouve toujours dingue quand je me rends compte que je suis passé à un côté d'un tel film à l'époque ! Je l'ai adoré sur toute la longueur, le tout est mené d'une main de maître. Je dois dire que je me suis totalement laissé prendre par l'intrigue et que je ne m'attendais jamais à ce qui allait se passer la minute d'après. Pour moi, un grand film que je recommande ! Ah oui, la musique d'Alan Silvestri est une fois de plus magnifique !

Leur relation s'est cependant légèrement tendue, notamment depuis le départ de Caitlin — la fille de Claire — pour l'université. Claire reste très souvent seule à la maison. Elle remarque alors que ses nouveaux voisins, Mary et Warren Feur, semblent avoir une relation instable. Alors que Mary n'a plus été vue depuis plusieurs jours, Claire soupçonne Warren de l'avoir tuée.
Bon film avec Karin viard et benjamin violat. Thème classique: liaison extra conjugal, bourgeoisie française de vienne. Dénouement étonnant: vengeance se retourne contre elle et eux
