Visuellement, j’ai adoré : la cinématographie est luxuriante, très composée, avec des mouvements et surcadrages qui servent le côté romanesque et l’excès. La mise en scène est très bien tenue : tempo efficace, alternance fêtes/intimité, et un sens du spectacle assumé sans perdre la lisibilité. Le scénario/écriture est très bien – je voyais venir deux éléments, mais l’ensemble reste solide et cohérent avec le point de vue de Nick. Les dialogues sont bons, jamais pesants. Côté personnages, Jay et Nick sont bien écrits ; Daisy et le reste existent mais restent moins profonds (logique avec la focalisation). Le jeu d’acteur m’a convaincu (Tobey en narrateur, DiCaprio en Gatsby). La musique/OST fonctionne (par moments très bien) même si l’anachronisme ne me bouscule pas toujours ; le montage/rythme est très bien, ça file. Direction artistique/décors/costumes : c’est un régal – DA excellente, costumes et décors remarquables. Techniquement, les effets et l’intégration numérique sont très bons, au service d’une imagerie volontiers stylisée. En émotion, je ressens ce qu’il faut (désillusion, romantisme brisé), sans débordement. Originalité/créativité : bonne dans le parti-pris visuel, plus classique sur le fond. Cohérence globale nickel. Rejouabilité : oui, mais pas tout de suite. Note exacte : 8,37/10
