Ava, ancienne militaire et toxicomane en rémission, est une tueuse d'élite travaillant pour une organisation secrète, qui parcourt le monde en exécutant des contrats de hauts profils. Lorsqu'une dangereuse mission tourne mal, Ava, assaillie par le doute, doit lutter pour sa propre survie et celle de sa famille, de qui elle s'était éloignée pendant huit ans. La fin : Ava apprend que non seulement sa mère à toujours su pour le mensonge de son père, mais aussi que sa sœur est enceinte du seul homme qu'elle ait jamais aimé. Après avoir réglé les dettes de ce dernier et vengé la mort de son protecteur, elle se volatilise dans la nature.
